Dogging Course Information:
Dogging courses are designed to give you the skills and practical experience needed to plan, prepare and complete Dogging work as prescribed by the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work.
Upon successful completion of a Dogging training, you will be able to:
- Determine the Safe Working Load of lifting gear and materials
- Select, maintain and inspect fibre ropes, chains, steel and wire ropes
- Perform splicing techniques and demonstrate a number of bends and hitches
- Sling, move and place loads
- Directing cranes
To be eligible to enroll in a DG Dogging course, participants must:
- Be over 18 years of age.
- Be able to read and write English at a level suitable to undertake the written assessment and understand the appropriate regulations
- Have a suitable working knowledge of math and basic mathematical formulas
- Be able to provide a full 100 points of identification, one being a current photo (e.g. Drivers Licence, Passport, etc)
- Be physically fit, with no conditions that would preclude holding a drivers licence.
The Dogging assessment is based on your competency (i.e. your ability to perform tasks to a required standard).
The assessments involve a combination of:
- Practical demonstration
- Class discussions
- Verbal questioning
- Written testing
Upon successful completion of a Dogging Course, you will be issued with:
- A Statement of Attainment CPCCLDG3001A Licence to perform dogging
- A Nationally recognized WorkCover 60 day interim certificate
- A Certificate of Competency, issued by WorkCover within the 60 day period

This training program is delivered over five (5) consecutive days.

How much is the course?
The full investment is $2000
This includes all training materials, tea and coffee. You’ll be trained using the latest cranes and equipment. PLEASE NOTE: Our training provider only excepts a limited number of students per class, ensuring that you the most practical, hands on experience and access to your trainer. Most other dogging courses require you to share a crane and trainer with up to 10 or more students per group.
